Motherboard
I recently got an Acer Predator g3-605 and the thing runs awesome and I love it. However, I didn't realize the upgrade handicap that came with it. Unfortunately the motherboard has a proprietary 12 pin connection and I wanted to upgrade my power supply because I game a lot and its only 500 watts which starts to run hot after continuous play. I've read that I would more than likely need to replace my motherboard in order to upgrade certain things such as a power supply.

I just wanted to see if anybody has suggestions on a good motherboard that offers a 20 or 24 pin connector that is similar to the one I have because it is really a good motherboard but will hinder me down the line. I have a Nvidia Gtx 770, Intel I-7 4770 processor, use 240 pin DDR3 sdr. Bios is P11 B3. Not sure if that info helps. I can go 200-300 dollars on a motherboard. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

P.S Still kinda new to pc gaming and upgrading so one question I have is I wouldn't have to replace my processor too if I switched motherboards?

If your case can fit ATX motherboard:

If your case can only fit micro-ATX motherboard:

No point going expensive or Z87 instead of B85 motherboard since the CPU is locked core anyway and you cant overclock it.
And it's no point replacing your CPU since altough it's locked core and cant overclock it's still i7 and very powerful even without overclocking.
