Single PC case fan: intake or output?
So, my PC has room for only one case fan(only one spot in the case and one header on the motherboard). The fan is currently pushing air out of the case and I was wondering if reversing the fan would be any better or worse. Any thoughts?

Yeah, you'll want that fan as an intake fan instead.

Yeah have it as intake, I'll presume your PSU has a fan, which will be an exhaust, even if it wont be very effective.

Is that fan on the back of the case or fornt? If it's on the back you better leave it as an exhaust but if it's in the front or side panel you can use it as an intake. BTW what is the model of the case?

The case is that of the HP h8-1234(can't find specific case name), it's a rather mediocre case and the only place for a fan is in the back. I just don't know too much about airflow in a PC. Here's a good picture showing where the fan is positioned.[d3gqasl9vmjfd8.cloudfront.net](The insides of my PC moderately vary from that.)

Leave it as it is. Back and top fan slots for exhaust, front and sidepanel slots for intake.

Depends on location.

Low down is for intake, higher up is for exhaust.

Leave it as exhaust.
With standard cases like that you dont have any choice.

Yes, well that's not really an option unless I buy a 3-pin fan splitter and a new case along with a new fan.

Exactly.
With that case you dont have any options..
But you would be better off with a new case.
