Removing pci slot covers?
Does removing pci slot covers (or replace with vented covers) improve airflow?

In theory it should but I don't think it would have a significant effect. You may be able to remove them all and depending on how much room you have you could put a small fan in place of the to help exhaust some hot air out of the case. Of course it would be alot better to get more or better fans depending on the type you have and if you have any extra spaces available for them. What type of case do you have?

Most cases made in the last couple years already come with vented slot covers.
If yours doesn't just remove them all, it won't hurt anything and if anything, improve airflow a little; if u have front fans blowing over your GPU and such, removing the covers may help slightly when comes to exhausting the air out the rear.
