Alienware 17 or Razer Blade Pro?

The only reason I wouldnt pick The new Razor blade is its screen. Bad vewing angle, dim, etc. Really shoots itself in the fot tehre. Like I said, other than That, I would have picked razor. The only problem with the alienware 17 is Its security software, and the more imprtant ne is its fans. SO. FREKING. LOUD. So load that you actualy have to pumpup the volume to max or were headphones. So its not very good in classrooms, etc. Alienware is pretty and a bit expensie, but they dont care much about thickness or wheight. They just want to make it work well. The Razor Blade is, unlike the Alienware, pretty slim for a gaming computer. Thinnest made-for-gaming computer Ive seen, but If you (even somewhat) care about graphics, then the razr isnt good. A bit pricey to. Over all: Alienware 17 is chunky fast, OOOH LIGHTS, Very loud, but is very good for the job. The Raor Blade is very sim and compact, but has a subpar display which pulls it down.

HEres a moderatly priced gaming computer, has a few lights, graphics card, Core 17. Pretty good for the price.

I say razer. You get more stuff with your money. (Favorite feature with the new razer pros are the 4k monitors.)

The best quality for your money would be best spent on what others are suggesting(ASUS, MSI, Lenovo), what you need to understand is you pay a premium for the looks instead of performance on Alienware/Razer. They still make some pretty decent laptops, but you pay more for equal quality then from other companies. Its 2014, there's a ton of options out there.

If you still want either Alienware or Razer, get Alienware.

I have the alienware mx17 bought in 2011. I can't comment on the other one but these guys are right; You're paying for the name. Sure you can play games on it but it's all older parts sold at the same prices as when they were new and you still get tones of bloatware on your system (since it's a Dell after all). Just so you know too, the alienware is HUGE! It's not something you'd want to be hauling around under your arm all day and battery life was about 3 hours brand new just surfing the Web.

And you want to get an alienware or razer laptop when there are miles better quality laptops out like the asus and msi range.
