The more expensive non-OEM versions (the ones in a pretty and huge case) can be put on multiple computers. Windows 8 has a different activation setup so that can be installed on more too, basically in all versions. In the case that you want use both computers I would recommend to install a Win 8 on the new one - unless you don't hate it too much. Otherwise install Win 7 Pro (in Ultimate you pay a lot for something what you couldn't utilize anyways), cause it comes with XP Mode which is great for older games. Win 7 Basic, 7 Home or 7 Home Premium don't have this function.
Not if you're still running it one of the other computers. One license can only be run on one computer at a time.
You have 30 days to get a genuine licence key on that system. When it expires, you will NOT be able to use your pc.
If your gaming, get windows 8.1 since all games are now being created for that os. So you'll get better fps in it.
Thanks Hbzk- Yeah ill probbly just end-up getting 8.1 but i was trying to aviod spending xtra money on stuff like this- Minor set-back. Thanks Guys!!!
That is where they get ya with the cheaper OEM licences.
You'll need to buy a new license if you want to continue running the older computer with that one license.
If your fx6100 system has an OEM license, that won't work unless you intentionally violate the Microsoft EULA regarding the transfer of license to a new computer.
