*HELP* PC won't boot correctly no matter what I've done
So recently I decided to build my own PC so I can have a much faster computer for an extremely cheaper price, however it's not booting, I changed the motherboard 3 times with a new one, a new CPU and still it gives me the same error it gave me 3 months ago.

THE ISSUE:
Everytime I power on my PC the fans start, the drivers start, and other parts start on, but none of the ports work and the PC powers off a little bit after the fans start and everything powers up, then it restarts and repeats the process.

WHAT I'VE DONE:
I have replaced the motherboard, 3 times. I have ordered a new CPU, I have assembled this build six times and all the wires plugged in correctly. The only issue I see is when I put in the power chord for the motherboard I have to use a lot of pressure but I don't hear any cracking or breaking. The first time it did this is atleast gave me an beeping code error that I've looked up and it turned out being a motherboard issue, and seeing how the other two motherboards had the same issue but didn't give out a beep message, it's either:

1. I mess up the MB everytime I put in the 24 pin power connector

2. I somehow do a static discharge that messes up the MB (although I doubt this could happen multiple times with the same result)

3. Some other reason

4. I'm just the most unlucky guy in the world and have gotten faulty parts multiple times. (unlikely)

Please help me, I've been dealing with this computer forever and about to give up hope and recreate an Office Space scene lol.

That is so insanely overkill. Seriously.

Please take a short break, go trawl through the Overclock.net forums looking at PSUs in use, then come back here with your newfound perspective before making any more suggestions about PC hardware.
My system's recommended power supply/consumption was around 650W, so I went with an 850W. Who's to say whose system requires what? We don't even know what system components he has. I was just providing a brand name really, he can decide what Wattage he needs. Chill, man, it's all good. Just ideas; not gospel or dogma.

You gave a specific product name, an endorsement specific to that product, and a price. You can't really fault me for being confused about your intent.

Furthermore, I highly doubt a first build needs an 850W PSU, especially one cited as intending to be cheaper.

I may have assumed a bit much about your comment, but we do have enough information to at least make an educated guess as to his needs.

Ahh, see, I missed the "extremely cheaper price", so yes, I'm at fault. Didn't mean to be so specific then. The Strider Series may be a bit much and it wasn't my intent to step on toes.

Did you format the HDD? It wont boot correctly if it's trying to read drivers from a different motherboard.

Nope, it did it with the other mother board.

Thank you everyone, Steam is by far the most useful forum I've used during the 3 months I've spent into making this thing. The user community is very nice and friendly and I appreciate the help and reccomendations you guys have given me.

Just stay out of the game subforums if at all possible. The hardware forums here are really great, but it's sort of like a single island in a vast sea of fetid tar.

So I've replaced the Power supply and it did the same thing. I don't know what's wrong, I still appreciate the help guys.

Man, that's a serious buzz-kill, dude. Nothing worse than a PC that won't run. You're not working with a Dell motherboard are you? I'm thinking not, but I ran into an issue with an old one where the power connectors from the PSU looked exactly like a standard connector, only the + & - were reversed. One dead motherboard/cpu later and I was quite depressed. Learned my lesson that day. It was my first attempt at swapping out a motherboard/cpu combo, and I always did extensive research ahead of time and still ran into issues, except they weren't nearly that catastrophic.

You could try posting specific components and such; maybe something will jump out at us.

I also scratched a motherboard with the tip of a screwdriver when I was trying to finagle a new cpu cooler retention mechanism into place. I could barely see the scratch, but it was a dead mobo. I can't see you doing that all 3 times though. Do you have anyone you know locally that works on or builds pcs for a hobby? A friend or someone. Sometimes another pair of eyes is all it takes. I struggled one time for what seemed like hours on my first build-from-scratch system, and my buddy goes... "Hey, man, what's this switch here on the PSU for?" click Started right up. It was the first PSU I had owned that had an on/off switch directly on it. This was a loooong time ago. Sometimes it's the stupidest crap that gets us.

Assuming the psu is now good, On boot you should get one single beep that indicates post was a success, if you don't get that then it would indicate board or cpu fail.

Other causes could be bad or incorrectly seated ram, faulty peripheral or board not powered correctly. check your case power and reset buttons are not sticking.

Unplug power cord and press power button for a couple of seconds to drain all energy, reset bios and start over. Plug in only essentials to start, display, ram and cpu. Read the book again and physically check you did everything right.

Some boards will not power up if a fan is not detected on the cpu fan connector, wrong 4pin or 6pin connector that goes near cpu, silly things like that can give you a headache.

A tip when working on pc's is to leave in the power cord plugged in and shut off the psu switch if you have one, that way the machine is always grounded via wall socket and static will not be an issue.

Another tip, if you suspect the power switch you can disconnect the power button from the mainboard, connect the reset button to it instead and use the reset button to start the machine, if it starts ok then the main start button is bad.

Have you checked your cpu pins to make sure none of them are bent or missing?

Have you plugged in the CPU power cable? It should be either 4 pins or 8 pins.

When this happened I check the RAM timings. They were the cause. I reset them and changed them to the desired clock in the BIOS. But you've change your mobo 3 times, so probably go with a new PSU. I use a Corsair GS700 (Gaming series) psu, which keeps up fine with two gtx 670's, and oc'd 4770k, Two ssd's and 2 hdd's.
