I've been using the Logitech G500s and it is the best mouse I've ever owned!

make sure you get the S version of the G500, has a better sensor aswell as ani-sweat material (which, BTW works really well).

First, take a look at how you hold your current mouse.
There are basically 3 different ways of holding it.
If you hold it frimly in your hand, then thats a palm grip. You might want something "heavy" like the Roccat Kone, also thumb buttons may be a nice option for you.

If you hold it with your thenar and fingertips, then thats a claw grip. Cooler Master Spawn would be one choice for you, among others, also Logitech G9X, but that ones out of your budget limit. Thumb buttons are nice, but not too many, like 2.

Lastly, if only your fingertips touch the mouse, that´s a fingertip grip (who´d guessed?)
You´ll want something lightweight, like the Logitech G300, which comes with 4 buttons that are very comfy to reach if you´re a fingertipper. Thumber buttons are generally useless.

That´s the basics, and the first thing you should consider. (google palm- claw- or fingertip grip to see some examples.)

Then, there are mice that assist you keeping straight while making long vertical movements, some ppl think it´s really helping, others think it´s a pain in the ass. Razer mice usually have that feature, MadCatz usually don´t, and for the G9X you can turn that feature on or off.
DPI is not THAT important, verry little people really use 5600DPI or something, imho everything that reaches 3k is more than sufficient. (but I play with 400DPI and make rather big movements, but that´s a question of preferences.)

As for manufacturer.. Logitech, Roccat, MadCatz, TT-esports... they´re all fine. Personally I wouldn´t go for Razer, as their software and regristration process is a pain in the ass. (And they sold me crap twice XD) Imho no-one beats Logitech, but that´s more an opinion than a fact.

Choosing a mouse is a verry personal thing, there is no "best one for the price", as everyone has a different hand and a different playstyle.
My final advice would be, order at amazon, or somewhere elese where you can send it back within 14 days, try it extensively and in case u don´t like it, send it back. No other way to find out which mouse is yours

I always tell people to go to someplace that has them on display and try them, (you don't have to buy from them), as bosspferd says they are a personal thing and it will spend a lot of time in your grip so you need one thats comfortable for you with features you want. I have used the rat for about a year now and i like it, for me its comfortable and i have had no issues with it.

I like Ttesports. They are quite cheaper compared to Razer, Steelseries and ROCCAT, etc. However, they provide the same quality products. Maybe it's because they are not super popular yet. All my gaming peripherals are from Ttesports.

Best advice: Take your time finding the right mouse. If you simply buy something that is the most expensive or has the most features, you might be disappointed down the road (like me). For example, I bought the Ttesports Black Element because it had the most buttons but after trying the Ttesports Black mouse I found out that it felt more comfortable to me.

So, take your time and try to test out some mice at some shops and buy the one you like. :D

Yeah, Bosspferd is spot on with his advice. I have a fingertip grip, and also use the Logitech G300 like he reccomends, and I absolutely love it, it's great!

I used to own a Razer Lachesis, which is more of a palm grip mouse, but the laser died on me (after about 1.5 - 2 years though). Really get something that is suited to you preferences, basically grip, DPI/sensitivy options, extra buttons and software. I've got an a bit of a love for Logitech products now, I've tried a number of products, but Logitech just seems to make quality and long lasting equipment. I've also got the Logitech G110 gaming keyboard, and some cheapo Logitech speakers, both of which are pretty damn awesome
