Razer Taipan Good looking Paperweight that is impossible to Configure!

Bought this Good looking Mouse (Razer Taipan) with my new Computer It works with plug and play style but unless I login and Register at Cult/Razerzone With All Fields filled in including Home phone, Mobile No. Email and Home Address!
I do Not have a mobile phone ...Yes I'm a dinosaur... So I Cannot Complete the registration and cannot login and the Software to configure the Mouse cannot be used unless logged in!
I've been using the mouse and it feels good but 2 of the buttons I would love to Deactivate as they automatically backspace if I accidentally touch them... And without configuring the mouse....!
Does anyone have ideas on how to configure a razer mouse without their Synapse software or how to register without some information?
Can Razer be this ridiculous..... or is it because their a Cult?

Pretty much reason why I never use any Razer products, their software is horrible and they want you to jump through hoops like this one.

Is there anything I can do apart from trying to get refund where I bought it?
I found a huge discussion at Overclocked discussing this from a variety of ways!
What mouse do you recommend?

If it doesn't or I don't understand it I'll definately return the Razer Mouse back to the Shop for a refund as it doesn't perform to specifications!

Maybe all Razer products need to be returned to suppliers until they change their software / procedures!?
