Are these laptop specs good for the games I want to play?
I am looking for some advice regarding a Toshiba Laptop I am considering buying. It has 4 gigs of RAM, an AMD Quad-Core A6-5200 (2.0 GHZ, no turbo), and an AMD Radeon HD 8400 graphics. I'll put the games I play now/will play in the future below...

Can I play them on medium to high with the specs listed above?
Here they are (in no specific order):
1) Black Mesa
2) HL Series
3) Portal 1 & 2
4) TF2
5) Dream
6) Sonic Generations
7) QUBE
8) Warframe
9) Dota
10) Moonbase Alpha
11) Warthunder
12) Hawken

I have a VERY limited budget. The $329.99 price point is pushing it already. I've been searching for months now, and this is the closest I've gotten to a decent laptop. If you know of a better one for the same price or less, let me know. Otherwise, if it can run the 12 games above ^^^ at a reasonable frame rate I'm good. (I don't need to be on high settings for the more "demanding" ones)

Sorry but for so little money you dont get anything remotely gaming worthy. Laptops like those are meant for internet browsing and text processing.
Probably not even worth searching for anything less then $500-600.
So it can't run those games? I have a 7 year old Vista laptop with 3 Gb ram, an AMD 2.0 ghz dual-core, and Nvidia GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M which can run games 1,2,3,4,7,and 9 with a decent Frame Rate albeit with significant graphical sacrifices. So I thought that a newer laptop would be able to run the same games on at least mid-range settings and maybe high, and the rest of the games on low to medium.

This laptop is almost same as your 7 year old one. You can expect pretty similar results.
Wow, I thought the the graphics card was significantly more powerful than my current one. And extra two cores I thought would give me better multitaking/gaming performance.

Can you reccomend one at a similar price point that is better for my gaming needs?

AMD 4-cores are quite rubbish compared to Intels and lot of games dont even take advantage from multiple cores.
How about thses specs?
AMD APU A6-5350M Dual-Core (2.9 ghz with turbo up to 3.5)
AMD Radeon HD 8450G
4GB DDR3 RAM

8 (8th gen)
4 (farily low model max is 9)
0 (slowest ver of that model, max is 9)

Rubbish, again.

No dedicated VRAM = no vidya games.
For that kind of money I would go for refurbished laptop. You can get one with usually very minor cosmetical flaws for around $200 cheaper then it would originally cost.
Like this one for $350. It has integrated HD 4000 graphics that are pretty capable running games like you listed and i3 dual-core is more powerful then AMD quad-cores:

Man, this is gonna take a few more months of searching I guess...
If you see anything in your internet travels within my budget (less than $330) that can run the 12 games above, let me know ASAP.
Oh, cool. I'll check that out

rumps suggestion looks good
intel hd 4000+ can play games on lower settings

are you near a microcenter?

i3 duals with intel 4000

or maybe an open box will be available
I'm confused. Why would a 1.8 ghz dual-core be better than a 2.0 ghz quad? Also, I don't live in a state with a microcenter.

Is it because its Intel/AMD?
