pc /w bd drive not as good as a dvd player?
and audio not as good as cd?
cd is encoded at 44.1khz, 16bit stereo
most newer sound cards can do 44+khz 24-32bit 7.1+
mp3 quailty depends on the compression, 128k/s mp3 will sound like crap next to one encoded at 320k/s on the same system
back in the analog days, cable quality made a huge difference
hdmi is digital, a 30+gage cable will work just as good as a 16-gage cable
Absolutely no difference other than price, just pick one and buy it. Some of the better ones are gold tipped?!! give me a break!
The cheap ones are gold plated connectors too, in fact I don't think I've come across any HDMI cable that wasn't
non gold plated cheap hdmi cable
btw, works just fine
The soundcard or onboard-soundchip won't do any difference as the HDMI-connection uses the soundchip on your graphics card. well unless you use a separate connection of ´course.
I've compared the HDMI that comes with an XBOX360 and the one I bought from RocketFish for $50.
The only difference I see is that the RocketFish one is slightly brighter.
