Just for interest, discovering some of your system bottlenecks, or brag about the about of money your blown away on your system! :)

The base score is determined by the system’s bottleneck score.

Also note down your Windows Operating System version. Win 7 limits it to 7.9 max. Since Windows 8, the scale ranges up to 9.9.

Mine is currently...

Processor: 7.7 (3rd Gen Ivy Bridge)
Memory: 7.7 (1600Mhz CL9)
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming graphics: 7.9 (GTX 780)
Primary hard disk: 7.9 (Western Digital Black Edition HDD + Samsung 840 Pro SSD)

Operating System: Win 7 Ultimate (64 bit)

As mentioned above, the graphics are separated to how well a computer will run Windows Aero and play videos, this is based upon video memory bandwidth. So 2GB+ seems to be liked.

You can throw that analysis out the window (no pun intended) since my GTX 570 only has 1280MB of VRAM.

Thanks for the correction.
Processor: 7.8 i7 [3770k]
Memory: 7.8 [Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Edition 1600Mhz]
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming Graphics: 7.9 [GTX 780Ti]
Primary hard disk: 7.9 [Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB]

Operating System: [Win 7 Ultimate] (64 bit)

Looks like it is still there in some form: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57616440-285/find-your-windows-experience-index-scores-in-windows-8.1/

Yes, yes, it's just leftover cruft they probably forgot to remove, I know.
LOL. Just followed that article... I get 0's across the board. Pretty funny when the motherboard post takes longer than W8 does to boot off my shiny new SSD and controller card...

Gee I dunno, maybe it's a signal for upgrade time...
Nah, this thing still has a lot of life left in it.

The SSD and W8 brought a lot of life back to it. It still worked well with a HD and W7 but I sure do like W8 and I didn't think I was going to at first.
Do you use a touch screen or cloud network? Please do tell me what good does Win8 give, which Win7 doesn't already have? Except for the security holes, they had to paid a hacker $100,000 to point out to them (so is getting more security over time), IE intergrated issues, compatibly issues (getting improved) and the Office 360 cloud security hole which they have said is already known, don't worry about (even though all your online documents can be accessed via any keen hacker or spoofer) and will be fixed in future updates. You get a Metro tablet-style touch screen, faster boot (which a SSD out performs anyways), and builtin purchase store? I just tried it early on, I heard that it's greatly improved from then, but I still don't see any point in upgrading?

... except that Win 7 WEI is capped at 7.9, while Win 8 can go up to 9.9!
MUST PURCHASE NOW TO GET HIGHER WEI!!! lol

ps: Win 8 costs less than Win 7 does... in three different occassions you could get a legal copy for free, but I didn't bother.

No touch sceen. I thought it might be an issue at first but it is not and I do not miss it at all, though My first experiences on W8 where with a touchscreen. There are a few keyboard shortcuts that help and the Metro Interface doesn't need to be used for much.

Not using the Cloud and doubt I will. I'm old school and don't want any info stored out on the net.

I do not use IE, except if necessary. Hasn't been needed yet but I keep it updated for security reasons.

I do not, nor will I ever use Office 360.

I don't care much about the store.

Boot times with an SSD are great. Less than 20 secs on this old dinosaur, upon pressing the power button. The motherboard post, including the adapter card I installed for the SSD, takes longer than W8 take to load once the post is done.

Memory management is superior to W7 by a perceptible difference.

Everything is much smoother but some of that is SSD, of course.

In all, there is only a few things I am disappointed in but it is still fairly new to me. I'll probably find ways around them, I usually do...

I.E....

For as long as I can remember, back to W3.1 or earlier, highlighted selections in the file manager remained highlighted when sorting. Not so anymore in W8 and it is really quite frustrating when digging for info...

The search function sucks as far as I am concerned but then again, I need a bit more time with it. I doubt my opinion is going to change much though.
Processor: 7.8
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming Graphics: 7.9
Primary hard disk: 5.9
Length: 7.9"
Girth: 7.6"

Just thought I'd add my penis measurements too in case anybodys interested. :-)
I don't know, Windows 8.1 removed it since it was pointless.
Windows 7 x64

Processor: 7.3 (AMD FX-4100@4.2GHz)
Memory 7.4 (8GB DDR-3 1566MHz XM3 Corsair)
Graphics: 7.9 (ASUS 760 OC)
Gaming Graphics: 7.9 (ASUS 760 OC)
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9 (1TB S-ATA II or III. I've yet to try an SSD, for lack of trust)

I don't take WEI very seriously; I take it with a pinch of salt.

Memory 7,5
Graphics: 7,8

You installed a 32-bit operating system on a machine that could more than easily handle a 64 bit one? WHY?

They didnt remove it, they just hid it. Google how to find out.

They removed the GUI and a good chunk of the functionality as well. The only reason why it is left in Windows 8 is probably because they just couldn't be arsed to remove completely (Windows is stuffed full of legacy tools going back to Windows 95).
