12 volt rail power for SLI
I have a GTX 760 and it needs 30 amps on the +12 volt rail, but what happens if I run two 760's, do I need to double the +12 volt rail amp requirment? For power I am looking at the Corsair RM850. I read online that the RM850 has a single 12V rail capable of 70.8A. That seems like enough power, but do I need a power supply with two 12 volt rails for SLI? Thanks.

till be good
gtx760 = 170w ea (340 for sli)
most systems are under 300w without a gpu

if your board supports 3way sli, itll do that with 760s too

one single rail can be better than dual/quad rail power supplies

My board only suppprts 2way SLI, but are you saying I don't need two 12 volt rails? Seems like I would.

you do not need a dual rail power supply, one strong rail is good enough from a quailty power supply
