AMD Gaming Evolved?
ok, i installed new amd drivers (beta14.2) and got gaming evolved with it. does it really help in gaming performance and if not, is it ok to uninstall it? because it pops up every time i start pc asking me to "get started" and if it's not useful for performance i dont want it. i need just to uninstall raptr? and it wont mess anything else about ccc and drivers?
thanx for any replies.

I just installed 14.2 I can't believe they are packaging this bloatware/spyware with their drivers. I will be buying a Nvidia video card next time, this type of software is completely unacceptable.

I had Raptr but, it's become a joke to me now. I don't even visit there anymore.
you can remove it by deleting raptr from your pc. no problem.
Big deal people. Loads of programs come with stuff. uTorrent does, Hell, Adobe Flash does.
Are you going to quit using those programs too?

Just delete it if you don't want it. I actually liked it ,So im going to keep it.

Umm dont install it then? It's optional. It's also funny how you hate bloatware, yet you use steam.
You think Steam is bloatware? When is the last time you saw Steam install on the back of another program. You are a silly person.

It's just as dirty and underhanded. There is no choice when it comes to Flash so we just have to deal with it until HTML5 takes over and with uTorrent now putting ads into it's software it's better to just find the old version that is still lightweight without all the extra bloat.

Yeah it's bloat. You're the weird one if you think otherwise.
Steam is not bloatware it has tons of useful features that actually work and isn't pushed on to us by hiding behind our drivers.

Going by your logic and you using Steam it must mean you love bloatware, I shutter at the thought of how much ♥♥♥♥ you must have installed on your computer. Can you even see websites under all those search bars?

Wait, I justed checked your profile your favorite group is AMD Gaming Evolved and it is the featured part of your profile. So you either work for AMD or are a total fanboy but either way your opinion no longer has any validity.

It seems to me like all you did was just next your way through the installation process. Which is a sure-fire way to get tons of bloatware fast and easy on your computer.

As for information about the 14.2 drivers..

To my knowledge, the 14.2 drivers is just an update and release of AMD's new graphics API called Mantle. Everything else should work the same. Though there were some issues with minecraft/java based programs using the 14.2 drivers. A quick google search and link to reddit gave me the solutions I needed though. Good luck.

Raptr came with my AMD drivers. If you uninstall it, though, using its own uninstaller or, I assume, Windows Add/Remove Programs, it leaves 54 Registry items in situ - I use iObit Uninstall, and that told me so. Don't know what harm those items might do, though, and ,maybe a registry cleaner would get rid anyway. Just letting you know.
When installing drivers you do have option to pick what gets installed... if you don't you can only blame yourself and be more carefull next time ;-) (been there done that)
Install Drivers > Select CUSTOM
Then de-select Software u know u do not want/need.

Why anyone would just pick EXPRESS makes no sense to me. Clicking Custom each time (regardless of what u end up actually installing) helps you understand what is actually being installed. As often times bundled suites as these have multiple software they install and might not be able to then part them out via an Uninstaller later without first uninstalling the entire suite and starting over.
year old thread. back then it was first time gaming evolved was included in amd drivers so i didnt feel need to check if they added anything new, since i installed drivers million times before that. of course i unticked it every time after that one.
