Trying to update bios but can't find file in usb stick
i downloaded the correct bios update file onto my usb stick but when i went to the bios menu and went to m-flash and looked into it, there wasnt an update file that it could find. im positive its looking in the right device but i don't understand why it doesn't see any files in it.

bios should be a bin file
if you downloaded a zip, you need to extract it or unzip the zip file to the usb stick
cool guy yooo :) Feb 15, 2014 @ 10:59am
it should be formatted to fat32 and have all files in it, unzipped.

Not a bin folder, he means that the bios file should end in "bin ie; "mybiosfile.bin" is what it should look like when its unzipped.

If you go back to where you got the bios file from there will be instructions on how to update the bios, copy them and follow them.

is your usb recognised in bios? if not you could try burning it to a cd and using the cd drive. also make sure it is the root of the drive, not a folder.

I would scrap the file as it may be corrupt and download a new one.

Copy it to the usb, in windows navigate to usb, right click on file and choose extract all, click ok to confirm location and you should be good.

reboot your pc and do bios flash, If you are really having difficulty maybe you should ask someone to assist you, updating the bios is easy but if you screw it up your machine will not run so it needs to be done right.

Maybe it's not an update? What motherboard do you have and what BIOS version are you running now?

there is an application in the file called "AFUDE238" and it won't let me run it because it says im not running the correct version of windows. but the website i got it from (msi) said it was compatible with windows 7 windows 8 ect.
