Xbox 360 Controller Config Please Help

So I have been trying to play Splinter Cell: Conviction on my Windows 7 Ultimate pc with no luck. Same ol' problem as many the b button is confirm, start is shoot and my right trigger reloads. Some of the buttons are the same which makes it more irritating such as 'LB' is crouch. I have gone into the games files and switched up as much as i could (no i don't know what i'm doing that's why im here) i figured if i can go into borderlands 1 and make my inventory huge than this would be no sweat right? Wrong.

So after an hour of that, I finally resorted to xboxce. I didn't want to because i don't understand some of the configuring so i'd be relying on someone else's configure. That's what i did and guess what it worked. Or so i thought... There is a config going around that seems to have everything mapped already and fixed for AC2 but when i put it in with conviction it had less than good results. I couldn't even move my left stick or d-pad without it jumping around on its own.

So I have ended up here after i slept away the pain. 3 or 4 hours after no luck with it. MY question is how do i get it to work? MY left stick doesnt seem to be showing up correctly. For example, in the 360ce program when i move the left stick to the right or down (not pushing it down just down) it shows as red and same goes for the right stick. But when i move the left stick up and right its fine and the same goes for the right stick. I think actually the right stick is red on up and right and down and left work fine. IDK its been a long night an if i had the conviction disc id break it in two at this point than stomp on the pieces in a low mo montage like Office Space.

Please can someone help me out here?

If you are using the x360ce emulator, start over with default button mappings (for both game and emulator) and try setting the hook mode to "Compatibility" in the options tab of the x360ce. This fixed mine.

I gave up on it, bro. It was working fine but between the controller b.s. and the game not showing my clip/ grenades I'm done with it. It just isn't worth it. UBisoft don't give a ♥♥♥♥ neither do i. Lol Thanks though maybe sometime when I lose my net and have to revert to offline games or something I will try ur advice. I've never been good with third-party controller programs.
