The only reason people still buy them is because they're marketed towards "gamers" who don't know better.
I recommend looking into the Zowie mice, more specifically the Zowie FK and the Zowie EC1/2 evo.
Where do you read reviewer about RAT mice? Just curious.
No, don't listen to any non-reviewer people, that is rumor or hearsay. So it is not true, nor 100% true source. Sometime it was used to tell false story, scary away and false accused. Believe me, I has experince with false reviewer and hearsay. There is really nothing wrong with RAT series because most of my friend and I have it. I have this mice for 4 years years and still work due to my well treated those equipment as if those are glass. Bottom are steel and cover are rubber. Plus laser is good. Just need to update from website, that's all.
This is real reviewer. http://www.engadget.com/products/mad-catz/cyborg/rat/7/
Just don't casually flip it over to tease out that obstructing rogue cat-hair … The industrial-strength sensor light will blind you every time!
I rather trust the consumer who spent money on their products and rather than people who gotten their equipment for free and only testing it for a week or so.
And these people aren't any sort of reviewers, they're consumers as I stated. The consumer's opinions matter just as much. And the communities I go to aren't forum sections of review sites, they don't even have review sections and yet those have terrible reputation.
I’m currently using a Steel Series Sensei “Limited Edition” and it’s fantastic. Looks nice, it’s affordable, build quality is great and it’s shape suits my hand just fine but the soft touch rubber on the right hand side is starting to wear away though that’s probably because of the awkward grip.
