Mouse Issues (Jitter?)

Or I'm not sure if there is any. To start, I have a Logitech G400 gaming mouse, and a Logitech G105 keyboard. I've noticed whenever I move and look around objects (such as moving around a corner, or going around a tree or post in circles), the movement isn't smooth. It feels like I move my mouse side to side, but I don't. I plugged in my controller, and the movement transistion is smooth with the analog sticks. Later on, I realized that the Logitech gaming software I had installed was messing with the in-game mouse options. So, it became less noticeable, but it was still there.

Well, Borderlands 2 became an amazing game because I hardly noticed the little jumps when looking around an object ( kept the in game sensitivity on lowest, and the dpi to 2000 in the software). But, I came across this site :

and decided to give it a shot, which was a bad idea now that I think about it. Borderlands 2 was running well, or I think it was. I don't know if I'm lying to myself that it was perfect, since I did try the tweak above. Well, in my opinion, I didn't see any results, other than the Logitech software not being able to detect my devices, and noticing these "side jumps" a lot more. So I uninstalled it for now.

I did re-enabled the drivers, but there's one driver, everytime I "troubleshoot" my mouse, that can't be found. I'm wondering if that could be an issue. I don't see the warninng yellow triangle mind you. I just click on troubleshoot just to be sure, and apparently I did have a driver that won't be found.

I don't know if I'm delusional. Maybe I'm just nit-picking. Turing around corners, and other objects really looks unsmooth for me. It "stutters", if that helps explains it. What can I do?

Please ask questions if you still don't understand what I mean. It's difficult to explain if you're not with me in person to witness it, but I will try my best again to make it more understandable.

uninstall all the drives for the mouse and go to the logitech website and download the newest drivers and try a fresh install of them.

I don't see that though. Only a download link to the gaming software. Am I looking in the wrong place?

the gaming software includes the drivers I believe. Make sure you uninstal lthe old software and go into your device manager and uninstall the drivers for your mouse before installing the new software. Also make sure you have the correct version for your os (32-bit or 64-bit)

Alright, I'll give that a go. Will uninstalling them make my devices obsolete? Or can I still use them to re download the drivers? Sorry for the dumb question.

they should still work fine by using the Windows default drivers. (you may find the default drivers work better for you except any features the software has wont work)

Also, do I uninstall the HID compliant devices? Because after I disabled them, and rebooted, the logitech stuff disappeared.

I'm pretty sure you should leave the HID. those are the default drivers

I have those disabled. Hmmm, so I should enable them again, right?

No luck. Mouse movement still doesn't feel as smooth as I want it to be.

Buy a new mouse. A wireless mouse is only $20, you probably just got a bad one, You should be playing games with a game controller anyways.

Just a suggestion here, maybe its your usb drivers or chipset that needs to be addressed.

Also,I have experienced only one issue like yours in past and it was caused by microsoft intellimouse driver entry in registry, it was still there after i uninstalled intellimouse and had to be manually taken out, I just searched regedit for "intellimouse" and removed all entries related to it.

thats what I was going to ask next too. Some surfaces don't work as well for some mice

Some sort of Steelseries mouse pad.

But you know what? I think it's just an issue with a higher sensitivity rate. If I lower it, it's less noticeable.

yeah too high of a sensitivity on a looser material mouse pad will lead to some jitter
