Need help on how to update MSI Bios very badly
I have a h61m-p31/w8 microw atx mother board from MSI and i updated the driver to my graphics card. after that everything started getting extremely slow. i checked online and apparently im supposed to update the bios to my motherboard and then it would work smoothly.i dont know alot about updating my bios so i try to check online on how to update it but i only got far enough as putting the file on my flash drive because for some reason on every tutorial i see the graphic for the bios menu is compeletely diferent from mine even if theyre both msi. whenever i go to check for the file it says that it cant find one when i go to update it.

Ive been working on it late night since yesterday just to fix it but i cant figure out anything. its like a nightmare. if anybody can give me a step by step tutorial that would be great because im afraid that i might mess up my computer if i accidently flash the bios or something. anything at all would help.

and can somebody also tell me why the bios menu isnt the same as all the others?

download the latest bios
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-P31--G3-.html#/?div=BIOS

open the zip and save the files on a usb stick, or to the root of the hard drive
ex. c:\

reboot, hit del during boot (at the post beep) to enter bios
go to the bios update page and select the file on the usb stick or from the hdd

MSI has a Live Update 5 utility that is suppose to update the bios for your MSI products. Do you have it installed?

I think you need to do all the steps. remember that whatever usb drive you use will lose all its data

well it would be nice to know why the sound of my youtube videos sometimes glitch when im watching. im using and hdmi thats connected my graphics card (which i updated the driver for) and now the sound kind of glitches sometimes. im using speakers that are connected to my monitor btw.
i dont know if its the updated driver or if its the speakers.

hard to say exactly. it could be youtube itself. You'll have to see if you notice the problem other places as well.
