Is 27 inch 1080p really that bad?
I was thinking of getting a 27 inch 1080p 240hz IPS 1ms alienware gaming monitor but idk if the resolution will annoy me

I would personally prefer a 1440p 120Hz screen over a 1080p 240Hz.

I would take ASUS TUF GAMING VG279QM, it's a bit more expensive but this is a company that always creates quality products and the monitor is 280 Hz

Damn thanks for this suggestion, also this monitor is actually £50 / $70 cheaper in my country.

I don't think it will make a difference if you use the drivers of your video card to change the colors but here is your decision
I offered the Asus monitor only because it is a quality company
while dell are for me like indian scammers

I don't know the technical term to explain this but the tightness of the pixels matters the most, upscaling 1080p to 27" isn't that bad but there is a reason that 1080p is usually 24" and 1440p is 27", it just fits better, now 1440p is 80% more screen space than 1080p. so 1440p just looks better overall, but if you're only gonna play CS, siege, Valorant or OW, then you should take the 1080p 240hz, otherwise you should always try to take the highest quality 1440p screen with at least 144hz for optimal gameplay in most games.

If you want a 27" and sit 40-120 cm away from your monitor, my advice is to go for 1440p
If you like proper colours, good hz (145 atleast) then I also recommend it being an IPS.

If you just play compettiive games and don´t care about colours, get your 24" 1080p with high hz.

We don't know if it will annoy you either. I run a 27inch 1080p next to a 27" 1440p. And I gamed on a pretty mediocre 27" 1080p for years prior to that. It was serviceable. But lots of people seem to have strong opinions about it. I'm of the opinion you'll get used to whatever is in front of you unless it's truly unusable.

I have been using 27'' 1080p for a few years and enjoyed it very much, the reason........ my GTX 1080 didnt quite cut the grade for 1440p in my opinion, plus eveytime i got a IPS 1440p there always seemed to be real bad backlight bleed, i might have been unlucky but i have sent at least 4 back to amazon including a Acer Predator and a LG GL850, now i have a 3080 though, so i have recently just got a Samsung Odyssey 27'' 1440p, and this thing hits the spot, but i do think as Brockenstein has said, you will just get used to what you are playing on and enjoy it all the same.

27in 1080p would have larger pixels
imho, too large for a display within 3ft of your eyeholes

PPI 81.59 pixels per in
Dot Pitch 0.3113 mm

i perfer around 100dpi/ppi or .25mm pixels
at 1080p thats around 22in
or 27-30in 1440p

I did not notice pixels back in the early 90´s on my 768×576 TV........... Because I had gotten used to 768×576 and 50 hz.. yes... 50 hz..... PAL ftw.-

I definitely noticed pixels on a 17" monitor running at 640x480 (or worse, 320x200).

But back then, our options were pretty limited.

I am trying to be semi sarcastic and trying to say that, people will live with what they have and get used to it.

AA doesn't change a physical pixel size. Seeing a pixel would depend how close or not you sit in front of a screen.

I have 60Hz 27" 1080p
It's okay if you don't watch it super-close. I have this vision disorder when you can see things closer more detailed, and I still am ok with it.

imo you just have to check if you can afford other versions just as entertainment.
