RTX 3060 temperature issues

I've bought Zotac RTX 3060 few months ago and I recently noticed that whenever i play some games like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, COD MW 2019, Apex Legends, and other demanding games, my gpu temperature rises aroun 75 C and usually at 80 C. But when idle it's at 40 - 45 C. Is it safe or should I improve my pc cooling?

all well. when you notice your pc getting slower on high temperatures you must change the cooling system. at higher teperatures the gpu throttles down. it runs slower. when it gets too hot, the pc shuts down. thats it mainly. 80 degrees celsius is no problem.

40-45c idle seems like an ok temperature. The fans probably aren't kicking in at those temperatures. Some cards probably don't have 0 rpm mode and if you are using msi afterburner all the time the fans might be on anyways?

can change the fan curve using a program like msi afterburner or turn on vsync, etc...

seems a little high to me i had the zotac 3080 trinity and under full load with overclock was
able to keep temps below 65c.i would set fan curve to 45% from 0-50c then jump immediatley
to as high as you can with keeping fans at a tolerable noise level should be between 70-75%
its easier to keep a card cool than cool it down.if that doesnt work.work on your case cooling

what about leaving the case open at one side...i always had good temperatures with that...in the sixties.

Is 3 fans in front pulling air not enough? if so i'll buy another fan and configure my fan placement, Thanks

I think i'm gonna skip this, cause my room somehow frequently gets dusty every week, not a risk i'm willing to take hehe

i disagree his card is hitting 80c so that means his card memory is even higher dont care
what nvidia says 100c on memory NOT GOOD !!!

Doesn't necessarily mean his VRAM is running that hot, and did I not give a recommendation with airflow to improve his temps anyway? Jeez.

there is no problem running the card. it works or not. a gfx board cannot be destroyed by temperature, because when it gets too hot the pc shuts down to protect the card.
