Once uploaded should end in a unique URL address; which u could then share.
No exchange of infos needed; etc...
Forgot to ask; what is the full model# of the laptop?
As then I can review the PDF manual for that and look more into this booting utility it came with. Or more easily find out more about it.
You said Laptop is ASUS X502CA
On the under-side of the laptop should be a sticker; find "X502CA" and there should be an extra set after this, which would help greatly.
For example; "X502CA--BCL0901D"
X502CA is a "general model" there should be more to that on the system sticker, which further narrows down to a more specify model, which is most-helpful.
It's like saying "I have a Dell Inspiron 15" This alone doesn't help; the exact model is what would be needed, as the full model narrows down (year of release, specs, etc...)
Ok the BIOS as shown, go to Boot section at top and see what that says.
It should be rather straight-forward how to boot to a different device; if that device is in-fact bootable. Maybe your friend who made the flash drive backup for you could provide some on-site assistance.
Here is your laptop manual in English if u need it.
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/X402CA/E_eManual_X402CA_X502CA_VER7847.pdf
Should be view-able on Phone devices without any extra software.
Then go to "Add Boot Options"
The way this BIOS is, only 1 boot loader or device can be active at any given time.
I guess to avoid accidental booting to others connected, such as Optical or USB; that might, upon connecting, come up somehow as the 1st boot device. So this method of "add boot" and "delete boot" is what u have to do to change the boot device.
I see your screen is different from what I see in the manual, so bare with me.
Can u go to "Save & Exit" tab
There should be options such as "Restore Defaults" can u please do that one by highlighting it and press Enter key; after restore defaults, go to "save changes & exit" option and press enter; after which it will be saved and the system will reboot; afterwards re-enter the BIOS and re-check all the tabs / options.
