Keyboard input lag. How do I fix this?
Recently, about 2 days ago, I started experiencing some unusual keyboard input lag. Typing is usually 1 second behind. My keyboard is made by Logitech and is wireless using a USB receiver. I have tried switching USB ports and I have even switched to a wired keyboard but there is still lag. The effect gets amplified in games like CS:GO and Unturned, where it can take up to five seconds for my computer to respond to my keyboard, which makes it very hard to play. I have rebooted and closed down programs along with deleting files I don't need, but still the lag persists. All my keyboard drivers are up to date.

Computer Specs:
Manufacturer: Lenovo
OS: Windows 8.1 64-Bit
RAM: 12 gigs
Processor: Intel Core i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10 GHz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635, 4018 MB Memory

If anyone has a fix that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had this. Couldn't figure out the intermittent nature of it. Then realised it's when my phone is nearby with Bluetooth on - guess it interferes with the Bluetooth peripheral's signal (more with keyboard than mouse, which possibly makes sense if the keyboard only transmits for short moments at a time). Anyway, try turning off Bluetooth on your phone.

I had a similar problem with my low budget keyboard. Sometimes receiver part and sender part have to be configured. I had to press a putton on both parts to set up the wireless communication.
Don't know if this is necessary in your case. Depends on hardware.

Do you use full batteries?

I don't want to be too creative *g* but perhaps a keylogger is causing this. Make a virus scan.

Unfortunately I was unable to fix this. When this happened a year ago, I just got a new keyboard, I looked everwhere with no help. :/
