125w cpu in cheap amd mobo = problems
a good read on mobo vrms and amd 125+w cpus and boards

3+1 phase vrm config should have a 95w limit
to help, you can undervolt and underclock the cpu
also be sure to update bios and chipset drivers

you need to test you power supply, i had a bad power supply that did that, i have extea power supply
http://www.wikihow.com/Check-a-Power-Supply
you mite have a bad pc case switch to or a wire in your system
It is most likely the power phase. As stated in quotation undervolt and underclock your cpu and see if that helps. If you notice it isn't crashing after undervolting and underclocking I would strongly recomend upgrading to a board with a more favourable power phase. the 3+1 power phase is not suitable for the FX lineup of cpu's and the mobo cannot cool itself properlt which leads to it shutting itself down.
if its still crashing try underclocking to 3ghz (15x200)
pick up a vrm heatsink kit

instsll them here

what cpu cooler do you have?
if its not stock, put the stock cooler back on it
stock cooler keeps airflow over the vrms on the board
Not necessarily. If his motherboard is overheating, as FX CPU's often cause 4+1 power phase motherboards to overheat, his motherboard will have safety features that lead to a shutdown. Not saying it isnt the psu but wiith that motherboard its likely overheating the motherboard. Stress tests can be done to figure it out.
hwmonitor will monitor the cpu and nb temps not the vrm mosfets
even generic ram can run 1600 cl11 1.5v, will not cause any problems
