Getting workers is major problem. Indeed you face now intel poaching workers for thier own fabs. I think the shortages are just the fact some ad102 have went for the 4080 super possibly.
As former assembler, it is not true. It is actual safer than at a nuclear power plant as long as people were trained properly. However, the only reason that it is more dangerous than working at a nuclear power plant is attempting to make everything more safer and more safer.
Then today i seen that the 4090 will be banned on the 17th Nov in China. So either by VPN the Chinese gleamed the entire UK stock or Nvidia themselves did it as its been revealed Nvidia sent a big shipment to China before the deadline. Why jack the price up though yea to capitalize on the shortages and misery and i guess to also make the 4080 supers stupid price look decent.
AMD no where to be seen. What a stink... I hope the entire lineup is banned in china and like crypto it hurts them. We dont need 4090s etc inside potential state cctv or missiles or killer drones etc.

It's real, official outlets already reported on it. The US imposed more sanctions on China which involves the restrictions on exporting certain products to China, which includes NVIDIA GPUs like the H series and the RTX 4090.
Tomshardware covering it. All G102 banned 2 weeks after the initial h100 etc ban. I would not be surprised if all 4090 dissapear in the next week to china. It suits Nvidia to get ready for 4090 Super.
It will ofc happen, G102 fullfat 18000 cuda cores is the super ofc.
