generally, i like very clean looking cases such as the nzxt h230, MOST antec cases.

Generally as a rule of thumb i try not to go for anything too big and flashy like Red, blue or green lit cases because over the course of a few months they really lose their luster whereas a clean and sleek case will look at home in most setups and rooms for a long long time.

saying that, I worked with a Thermaltake Urban R21 with a friend that was simply amazing.
id pass on it

find a case with bottom mount power supply, and top fans, and usb 3.0 ports

on the cheap

I'm not into really flashy stuff myself, looking more for great cable management and good ventilation options.
Corsair 200R and 300R are my favorites for midi-ATX builds.
Cooler Master N200 for micro-ATX builds.
Cooler Master HAF Stacker 915F for mini-ITX builds.

Zalman Z3 Plus is also decent cheap midi-ATX case that comes with 4 fans installed, white and black color. For some reason it generally costs lot more in US then in Europe though making it little less attractive as budget case in US:

The new Corsair SPEC-03 midi-ATX cases look pretty cool also.

If you're looking for budget, I'd suggest the LEPA LPC307(U3)[www.lepatek.com] case. Suprisingly roomy, sturdy, and $35 (canada bucks).

Only gripe was the back cut-out opening was 1mm too narrow. Made it difficult to pop in the mobo I/O panel.

Almost forgot; one of the two front usb ports is 3.0 … nice!

It's older generation case and has no USB 3.0 sockets. Zalman Z11 Plus is better:

Or Zalman Z12 Plus:

I would always recommend spending alittle bit extra, almost every case in the $70 to $100 range will offer you alot more then cheaper cases. The better build quality alone makes them worth the price. I personally decided to go with the Corsair C70 and couldn't be happer, it is in the $130 range but I like it so much that I am ordering a 2nd on for to put my workstation in.
