Noticable difference between 1ms and 6ms monitor response time?

So I want to buy a new gaming monitor, I'm deciding between a 21 in. 1 ms monitor vs a 23 in. 6 ms, one. Which one would be better?

The 1ms would be better. It would have a sharper image when moving around in games & they tend to have better input response (less mouse lag).

Honestly, it might be a good idea to link both of them here. Also, it depends on how they're measuring their response time. Some measure in GTG (Grey to Grey) which is typically going to be a lower number than it's black to white timings.

Also, the difference should be negligible between the two.

You should be fine with anything less than 16ms on a 60Hz panel. If you're going with something that has a higher refresh rate you'll want a faster response time.

Hmm I see. I've heard alot of good stuff from Benq users. Unfortunately it's out of my budget. Thanks for that link, I must have missed that monitor while I was browsing. Im leaning towards getting that one now. Thanks

1-6ms at 60hz is fine

6ms at 120+hz will be blurry

60hz = each frame is displayed for 16ms (monitor takes 6ms to change pixels, its displayed correctly for 10ms)
36% changing, 63% correct

at 120hz = each frame is displayed for 8ms (if the monitor takes 6ms to change pixels, it will display the correct image for 2ms)
75% changing 25%correct

on a 60hz monitor, 5ms and lower is better
on a 120+hz monitor 2ms and under is better
