Should I return my gaming laptop?
I just bought Asus G750JZ, http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX51841 .My friend said it's the most powerful laptop for $3000(including warranty), is that true? because I was playing watch dogs and the performance is horrible, I'm not sure what it's called but what happens is the screen doesn't catch up? or its really slow and freezes for a slit second, I think its called lagging. I was playing wildstar and when my character was just standing around the game had 60 fps, that was just when she was standing around though I don't know what the fps would be like in raids. when I was playing borderlands 2 I put the anisotropic filtering to x16 which caused only a little bit of the problem i have with watch dogs (lag?), so I changed it to x4 which made it better.

As you can see I am not computer savvy, so precise and detailed answers would be much appreciated; if you have the time. :)
So should I return my laptop and possibly find a more powerful one? (I want a screen that's 17 inches and matte)
Money is not an issue but my limit is still around $3000 including 2-3 year warranty.
The main reason I bought a laptop is so I can lay in bed while playing videos games, that's why I'm not looking for a desktop lol.
P.S The laptop I bought before was MSI, I returned it because the headphone port created a loud screeching noise, so don't recommend MSI.

I say return it. For $3000, you can build yourself a beastly gaming desktop (You might even only need $1500-$2000) that can out perform much better than most gaming laptops. I usually never recommend gaming laptops.

Laptop has very high end specs for a laptop, not sure I'd 3 grand for it but definitely capable of playing new games.

Watch Dogs isn't very well optimized and a lot of people are having issues and an update is said to be released to fix some of these issues. Not the best game right now to test a new piece of hardware. If you don't need portability then returning the laptop and building a dedicated desktop would yield much better performance for the same amount of money.

With the money you saved for building a desktop, you can always buy a very comfy chair that you can game and sit on for hours. :P

Hook the PC to your TV and use a wireless controller or mouse/keyboard.
Thanks for the replies everyone :)
I'm going to get a desktop instead, and buy the most comfy chair I can find.
desktops are better then laptops just because parts have better cooling options in a larger space. Anyways one thing that might sound dumb but are you playin with it plugged in or not? laptops typically run at slower speeds when on battery to save energy. when you plug it in, it should boost your in game fps. Another option you have is to return it like you said build a desktop and buy a non gaming laptop for considerably less money. steam now has a feature known as in home streaming where your computer(desktop) actually renders the game and streams it to your laptop or any other pc so you get the performance in a smaller package and could play your games in bed if you so desire. Watchdogs is terrible i have a gtx780 and i struggle with lag when driving so much so to the point where i dont want to play it lol. also go to the ge force experience program provided you have it ( if not you should get it!) and make sure all drivers are up to date
Maybe worth checking some other games out first, Watch Dogs is not exactly well optimized.
Yeah the game eats up 3.1 GB vram on ultra for me, which is ridiculous for the graphic textures.
thats what im saying the games doesnt even look that good to be using all of that. Going forward im not buying from ubisoft until they fix watchdogs gives us the original settings from 2012 and stop limiting gthe potential of games going forward (far cry 4)
Alot of custom built gaming desktop sites and stores around or can do it yourself, save some cash in the process as well and get great desktop/better than the laptop for less.
