What Video card should i get a R9 270X Video Card or a GTX 760 and is in what ways is 4Gb of Vram Better than 2

yeah 760 is faster, but only get the 2GB version since the gk104 can't take advantage of more than 2GB (4GB 760 and 770 gtx models are more of a gimmick.)

4GB of vram is for higher resolutions, above 1080P

If you're aiming for 4GB vram, I'd go with the r9 290 since it has a very good bang for your buck. GTX 770 can use more than 2GB vram on 1080p, but it's very rare on some games. (Not sure about the 760, but it's probably the same idea)

Don't really know your target budget range, but r9 290 is ~$400 usd

r9 280x and Gtx 770 performs fairly close as both cards can perform better than the other, depending on the game. GTX 760 is less powerful compare to those two. r9 280x might fit your budget better.

The bandwith for the 760 is better. 4gb of DDR5 is good but choosing a graphics card based on the size of the memory it has is like choosing a car based on its gas mileage. 2GB of VRAM is enough since it's GDDR5 + the 760's unstoppable bandwith and Nvidia smart technology.

no, more vram will allow for higher settings, but a 760 isnt fast enough to make use of 4g effectively for games

but it will allow for max settings on the newest games but only hold around 1-2 fps

stick to the 2g 760-770, they cant make good use of more vram

unless your doing cad or other work that needs 4g of vram, get a 2g card

Avoid the XFX brand as their cooling is terrible.

There is nothing terrible about XFX R9 280X or 280 cooling, just because you had previous generation XFX HD 7970 with crappy cooling doesnt mean that all new XFX cards are crap.
