how many watts is the psu? You also have the monitor cable pluged into the gtx 650 right? (i know that is a no brainer, but just making sure.)

Go to non beta drivers.

Sounds like gpu is buffering every few minutes.

Go into nvidia control panel under 3d settings/global and choose single monitor mode, triple buffer off, and reduce maximum pre-rendered frames, power management to maximum performance. Optimise with nvidia experience.

Not saying its a solution, just a suggestion. And as suggested earlier use a non beta driver.

nothing here is correct

frame buffering is needed

single/multi monitor compatability mode will make no difference for games
tripple buffering will allow for v-sync, and not hurt framerates as it will only allow for a max of the monitors refresh rate

pre-rendered frames set to 3 is normal and will be fine (also used for tripple buffering)

power management may help, but most dedicated dekstop gpus will be in performance mode when gaming, and idle/low power mode when not gaming

try using the latesst non beta driver

little update turns out its not my psu gpu or cpu turns out it was my internet connection on online games i played skyrim on medium and never lagged or stutterd at all just testing between a single player game and a online one i uninstalled the gpu and went back to the intgrated gpu and noticed the same results i even did a clean install of windows and a factory reset still had the same issue so i went on tf2 and opend up the net graphs i get over 2000+ spikes in the chart and i can confirm that is whats causeing my suttery jittery part the fps is solid 59-60 fps on vsync i rarely go down any lower unless its a badly optimized map or a crap ton of things going on at once (( alot of demos doing alot of stickys)) when the massive spike on the chart happend for a split second i would notice other players movents go jittery but this happens every 5-10 minutes however i could freely move around during that spike dosent make it unplayable ive played on tf2 for 4-5 hours yesterday found it rather enjoyable all the core maps work greatly i never ran into any lag or program stuttering just seems my internet connection is haveing a hard time cpu cant be the problem since while i play it takes up about 25-30% cpu useage i got over 8 gb of ram and psu cant be the issue becuse i played the game for long periods of time never went over 45-50 degrees looking at msi afterburner anyone else may have any other thoughts on this?

Please, use punctuation, your post is not at all readable. It puts people off helping you.

First of all, have you disabled the Integrated Graphics solution in the BIOS or the Control Panel? This may or may not give you the problems you describe, but you should disable it under most conditions if you are using a discrete card (GTX 650).

*Why you would keep both enabled is beyond the scope of this post.*

Try that, then come back with the results.

isent the intgrated card deactiviated while im useing the other card? only shows gtx 650 as a display adapter and windows 8 automaticly does that...plus i got a amd chipset i cant risk uninstalling the drivers for that
