what ram should i put into my system to get the best bang for my buck

is this a good set up? what should i change and what performance increases would i be looking at?

That G.Skill is fine, just add another 2x4 kit in to get 16GB of memory.

Everything looks fine except you should try to get a better GPU. System RAM speeds don't have much of a performance impact in gaming and 8GB is enough.

If you can, try to upgrade the GPU. Other than that, looks great.

just invest in a better gpu, and cpu cooler
212evo will allow for a 4+ghz overclock
