Asus ROG laptops are great for gaming, powerful video cards and supprisingly good cooling for cpu and gpu.
What are your system specs or model of desktop (CPU, RAM, GPU, PSU, OS, case, motherboard)? Adding a decent GPU & PSU is usually all that is needed to turn a normal desktop into a gaming one. You want to try to have a decent CPU and enough RAM, but a good GPU makes the biggest difference.
