How to control yours laptop's FAN speed ?
My Computer Fan is not working at its full speed and undetectable by Fan Speed controlling software like SpeedFan etc. Please someone help my laptop keep on on overheating and shutting down automatically while playing new high graphics game which sucks fun out of them.

um is it the fan on your graphics card??
clean it out with a can of compressed air. No computer, even a laptop, should e getting hot enough for it to auto shutdown(usually around 105 C).
I cleaned out my sisters laptop after a year and the temps dropped almost 15 degrees. She had experienced the games shutting down her computer too.

The problem with my sisters laptop other than not being cleaned, was jus like you, I couldn't find any fan control. Anywhere. tried 3 different programs.

What are the laptops specs? She has a Nvidia card and I have an amd card, mybe amd just allows full fan control and Nvidia locks it?
I did clean my fan not 1 or 2 time like daily and i think my comp auto shut down at 60 degree celsius of CPU or Graphics Card

No i dont have a fan in my GPU in most of laptop Graphics Card they dont have FAN nor the FAN is in control of GPU but I gave try to afterburner even that wont work
You don't and can't on most laptops. It's control is by firmware which the manufacture presets.

Any suggestions
Replace the heatsink+fan+thermal paste
you really need to give us your laptop specs.

Ah, same GPU as my sister. So Nvidia either doesn't have laptop GPU fan controls, or for some reason HP locked it on her laptop(But I have a HP laptop with an AMD card and I have full fan control).
Now, to the next topic. It should not be shutting down due to heat at 60 C. unless your going up past 100C, your laptop shouldn't be shutting down because of heat.

Use MSI Afterburner and use the On screen display(OSD) settings to display the heat of your GPU and CPUs over your games. then play one of your games that is causing the computer to shut down and keep glancing at the temperature monitor.

If its not temperature causing the laptop to shut down, its something more serious.

Thanks I will check that
U can't control the CPU/GPU Fan; simple as that, it has a hardcoded firmware based preset within the BIOS that controls the fan speed curve, based on temps.

If your system is Intel / NVIDIA mixed setup and is having random issues when not reaching 95*C or above, then most likely it is an issue with your Heatsink/Fan/Thermal Compound.

In most laptop desgins, the fan usually only lasts about 1-2 years in most; especially when actually used for gaming an the fan gets used alot at those higher RPMs, the fan will wear out, simple as that.

You also have to consider:
> Keeping it clean/clear of dust. Even if the intake area looks cleaned, there could be dust build-up elsewhere. So some disasembly may be required.

> If your laptop is under warranty from the manufacture, contact them and have them replace the heatsink+fan+thermal paste; if this is failing.

> If you run into an issue where the fan doesn't seem to change to higher RPMs as the temps rise above 60-70*C or so, what most OEM suggest here is to download and install (or reinstall) the latest available BIOS version for your exact laptop model. This can often fix the issue in some cases.

> If your laptop is no longer under warranty, consider buying a replacement Heatsink+Fan on your own, and replacing it; along with the thermal compound. Replacements for most laptop models can usually be found on Ebay for fairly cheap.

Thanks for your help i tried everything now I'm going to replace my cooling system and put a liquid cooling system and will require some laptop breaking also
And how do u think that is even going to work out???

Just replace the heatsink+fan and if it comes with thermal compound, wipe+clean that off and use a good one, like Arctic Cooling MX4.

What is the full Brand Name + Model # on your laptop (look at the branded sticker on the bottom) and I can find you the correct OEM replacement. And perhaps a take-down guide too; as those are usually easy to find.
