How to make the best airflow in my pc case?
This is my current case

i dont quite understand the whole "air sucking in, air pushing out" thing. can someone explain?
is this all really necessary?

Proper airflow pulls cooler air from the front and sides and channels it over the parts and out the back/top.

Case fans can be used as either pull or push fans depending where they are and what orientation they're installed as.

What you don't want is all the fans pulling air in as you get a mini pressure cooker and heat doesn't properly get channeled out of your system.

There's some debate as to whether it's better to have more fans pulling air in than pushing out, or more pushing out than pulling it.

My rig has a 120MM pulling air in over the hard drives, one 120 MM side fan pulling air in over the mobo/video card and a 120 MM pushing out the back with a pair of big noctua fan CPU fans oriented towards pushing air out the back. Air enters the front and sides, get pushed over the parts and exits out the back.

Installing Speedfan will let you get measurements on how well your cooling is doing and lets you quantify any cooling changes you make.
You want cold air getting sucked in at the front and bottom... And hot air getting pulled from the case at the back/top. You also want to have more air leaving the case than is coming in. Personally I have two 140mm fans on the front pulling air in and three 140mm fans at the top rear of the case pushing the air out. Cable management is big too as anything that blocks the airflow through your case can cause issues. You basically want a constant flow of cool air over your components without allowing hot air to build in the top of the case.
speed fan isnt that awesome, because it doesnt always read all the fans ;/ (im using this program to check my gpus temp.)

yeah as you can see on that pc case, im using the 2 fan spaces for 2 fans that are blowing the air onto my cpu
im using that as well, but it doesnt read my fans either

im just unsure how to set up my fans. im not even 100% what kind of fans i should use. i know which molex plugs (im using 4 pins) and the size (12 cm) but which kind is the best. ive bought a 2400rpm, which is loud as ♥♥♥♥, and ive bought 2 fans that were suppose to be 2000 rpm, but turned out to be 1200 or something like that. Its quiet but useless as ♥♥♥♥ ^^

nope. there are only 4. 2 on the side (12 cm), 1 in front, kind of inside (already installed when i bought it) and 1 80cm on the back

that pic actually explains everything better than 90% of websites LOL. but yeah, i dont have any spaces for fans at the top

only one of the fans came with the 3 plug, which i presumed was for the mother board (coolmaster). the other ones only contained the 4 pin plugs.
You can plug 3 pin into 4 pin slots with no issue. Also you can get splitters to run multiple fans off of one mb connection.

oh good to know ^^ i actually didnt know that. i thought you could only plug 4 pin to 4 pin. i didnt know you could connect a 3 pin into a 4 pin
This is just how I like my fan setup. My case has two fans at the top that suck air out and one fan on the back side that also sucks hot air out. Then I have my big fan on the side that pulls air in along with the two front fans that pull air in.

i was hoping someone would give me a good airflow setup on my case. oh well ♥♥♥♥ it then ^^

Your case automatically comes with how most air flow is, its like a standard for all PCs. Only time its going to change is if you add more fans or change your fans around in some way. But pretty much having the fans just as they are when you buy is good.

There you go.
mmmmmmmmmmmm'kaay....

well thanks for everyones effort :) this is what steam is about. community. love y'all :*

That's your problem, fans powered by molex cannot be read by the motherboard and therefore cannot be read by any other software.

You need fans which plug into the board.
