But for mid range and you said upgrading, I suggest the i5 4690K (coming out in a few days), with z97 mobo (pick whichever you want) 8GB of dual channel memory at least, if you want to future proof even a tad, your going to need at least a gtx 770.
Yes SSDs are worth it. However it depends, all ssds do is speed up boot times and software, and putting all your games on a ssd is going to be expensive. That is why you see many gaming pcs with ssd for C drive and games go on a seprate mechnanical drive.
What kind of money do you have?
That's like asking for a Ferrari for the price of a Honda. Mid range means exactly that, mid. No matter what you try to do you will need to upgrade your PC almost every year to keep running everything at high settings.
For high settings 1080p on high settings on top games you will need £1000 and ultra id say £1500
Thats for what i have worked out.
Get a good case mobo and cpu with a solid ssd for the op system.
Then you can add a slave drive for not much later and id get a gtx750ti for now and save more for a top card in the next 12 months.
Just my view good luck
This is not possible. You cannot build a midrange gaming PC that will run all games on high.
1) Now?
2) Depends what you currently have
3) Yes.
