download mbam
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/
reboot in safe mode
install and run it, update, and do the full scan
let it finish, and fix all problems, then reboot to normal mode and repeat
ill try this. ill get back to you on this
I downloaded it and ran the threat scan and removed 2 non-malware files. This didn't fix this problem at all. I didn't run it in safe mode because I'm on windows 8 and idk how to do that. Is this an important part or does it even matter?
Do you keep your system always up to date on patches? adobe flash/reader etc? Else this can't really happen without you installing some freeware which came with some toolbar like adware.
Honestly if you didn't install anything you should just consider your system compromised, reinstall windows...format c: after backup, we can't know what happened.
