Has anyone played around with the new Shader Cache Size option in the Nvidia Control Panel?
I was wondering if anyone has played around with and tested the new option in the Nvidia Control Panel.

The latest 496.13 drivers have added the Shader Cache Size option in the control panel without much description.

I am not quite sure what the best setting should be. I just put it on unlimited to see if it affects anything or if I run into problems.

But I am wondering if anyone has tested the different options and what their results were.

Please and thank you.

I don't have the new drivers but I know Windows includes a method to clean that out when clearing temporary files. So I could be wrong but it sounds like it's probably just a way to put a cap on how large the cache will be allowed to grow to for space reasons, and not a performance changing option, but I could be wrong.

Probably what it is. I know a lot of games come with an option to increase Shader Cache Size. I usually put it at unlimited in those games, so I figured I would do the same here.

There really wasn't much description, so I was wondering if others might have tinkered with it and had any issues or good results.
