Overclocking Asus Strix GTX 960 OC
Anyone can tell me what their parameters for overcloking Asus GTX 960 such as:

GPU boost Clock:??
Memory Clock:??
Fan speed:??
Max GPU Voltage:??
Power Target:??
GPU Temp Target:??

P.S. I read some articles regarding overclocking Asus GTX 960 but they left the Fan Speed on (Auto) and they didn't mess with the Max GPU Voltage.

Can anyone tell me their parameters especially the one who have Asus GTX 960 OC or any GTX 960.

Thank you in advance :ninja:

The Asus Strix already has a high factory OC why bother to OC it even further and risk messing it up? If you really want a faster card you should have gone for the GTX 970 / 980.

Because i read an article that they overcloked Asus GTX 960 up to 1437 MHz GPU Bosst Clock and 7450 MHz Memory Clock and it was stable.

This is the article review http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-geforce-gtx-960-strix-oc-edition,4151.html

What do you think about it?

I see they used the Asus tweak utility which is safer than adjusting stuff in the BIOS. But still be careful when adjusting voltages. I wouldn't bother with it to be honest, the gain you will get from it is not worth the risk of potentially messing up your card.

It's like they said in the conclusion:
"Asus' GPU Tweak software is easy to use and makes overclocking a simple process that anyone can figure out. This could be taken as a good or bad thing, as there are no safeguards in place to prevent someone who doesn’t know what they are doing from going too far and frying a piece of equipment"

If you really want significant better performance you can always sell your GTX 960 and get a GTX 970 / 980.

I am using Asus GPU tweak II to overclock my GTX 960 but i need to know from others who have same card as me or from another brand, what their stable parameters without messing with voltage or fan speed.

Maybe ask that question on tomshardware forum. There are alot of people there with more expertise than on the steam discussions.
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/
Make sure to post it in the right category like "overclocking" or "graphics cards".

You could do that. I also overclocked my intel dual core E6750 CPU by following an overclocking guide from tomshardware. But there were alot of variables involved so the results weren't the same af in their guide.

Is my EVGA 500W enough for OC my GPU only, because Tomshardware they have 850W in the test which i think it's overkill for a GTX 960

P.S. i have i3-3210 and my Asus GTX 960

You'll be fine with that PSU because the GTX 960 has a Minimum Recommended
System Power of 400W.
