Is this PSU powerful enough?
I'm wondering if this PSU is powerful enough to run my system. I don't think it is because on the website of Nivida it says the Minimum System Power Requirement for the GTX 560 is 450W. And my PSU is only 400Watts. :(

Full system specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7650 (overclocked from 2.66Ghz to 3.70Ghz at 1.6V)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 560
RAM: Apacer 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC6400/800 CL5.0 1.8V (will probably be upgraded to 4GB DDR3)
Mobo: Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
HDD 1: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB 7200RPM
HDD 2: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 80GB ATA133 (this HDD can be removed)

PSU: Aopen Z400-08FC 400W

When i use a power supply calculator it indicates this: (but had to do it with the GTX 560 Ti because GTX 560 wasn't listed...)
Load Wattage: 472 W
Recommended UPS rating: 900 VA
Recommended PSU Wattage: 522 W

Amperage (combined)
+3.3V +5V +12V
6.8 A 10.1 A 33.2 A

if you have an 2nd PSU which is maybe only 400 watt somewhere and dont mind how it looks and the hassle in the end result you could use it only for the GPU.

otherwise im afraid, you have to upgrade the PSU considering you only choosed GTX 560 without "TI" and already exceed the power consumption. The GTX 560 TI need 50 Watt more on top of that.

Id say a PSU of about 500W would be more suitable for that system. I recall the PSU my GTX 450 needed was about 400-450.
pick up a quality 500+w psu
cx430-500 are cheap and have working protections

U can get a XFX TS Gold rated 550-watt for around same as a CX-600
which will be MUCH better overall. I would avoid the cheap CX models.
I can pick up this PSU for only € 25 ($27): Cooler Master iGreen Power 600W
http://us.hardware.info/productinfo/1362/cooler-master-igreen-power-600w/specifications

That's an excellent deal right? :D
cm power supplies are crap
low end are junk, high end are overpriced
Yea CM makes some good stuff; as does Thermaltake; but both brand have some of the worst PSUs; given how good their other branded stuff has been.

Stick to ones like XFX, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic.

Anything u buy, brands have cheap quality and good quality.

From Corsair, their VS and CX are junk. Only reason I'd use one of those is someone needed a cheap solution for replacing a PSU in an OEM Build.
Hmm but I think i'll go for the cooler master PSU since it's so cheap and it has enough wattage. I don't think i'll find another 600W PSU for only € 25.
Thats the problem; wattage mean nothing; the actual quality does.

Just trying to save u from burning your house down.

I got good fire insurance but yeah It wouldn't be fun to have all my stuff burned to the ground =(
But c'mon that PSU can't be so bad right? I know it's low end but it's still from a well known brand and has a 80+ Rating.
All the generic junk coming from overseas has 80+ Rating now.

TBO you'd be better off with a Corsair CX 500 or 600 over those cheaper CM ones.

Especially CM "Green" or Antec "Green" they are very poor/cheap quality.

But I also have to consider the price. € 25 for the cooler master PSU while a new CX500 would cost me € 75... https://www.alternate.be/Corsair/CX500-Voeding-/html/product/1033759?event=search
Any other good website to look at perhaps?
do you really want to risk killing the pc with a €25 psu?

the cx500 is overpriced at €75
you can get the xfx 550 for that much
https://www.alternate.be/XFX/PRO550W-Core-Edition-Voeding-/html/product/838244?tk=7&lk=5909

or silverstone 500w for €55
