Been crashing regularly since I got AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB gfx card
CSGO and BF3 will run smoothly for 15-20 mins at good fps (40-60 for BF3 and 100-130 for CSGO) then all of a sudden I will get a REALLY high ping usually around 500 and then I'll crash with no explanation. With BF3 I will just crash out of the game but with CSGO my whole computer crashes and I have to reboot.

Edit : Note that I have also underclocked the gfx card and increased the voltage that gets to it, along with making sure it doesn't overheat by checking the temp with MSI Afterburner.

I would guess it's either a power issue or a temperature one, but I'm leaning towards a power issue. Check the temps, if they seem okay, replace the PSU. And go from there.

first try to lower the GPU Clock by 50 Mhz or 100 Mhz and/or Memory Clock by the same amount and try if this helps before changing something else.

Had the same issue with other card locking up until i found the issue to lower the clocks.

most likely a heat issue

specs?

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

It's definitely not a temperature issue, as it sits around about 70 celcius max, and these cards function well at up to 90 celcius.

Lowered clocks and it's still crashing

Also don't think it a power issue, I done research and my PSU is well more than capable of powering all my hardware

Either way, it would be worth trying a different power supply. There maybe a fault. Been building PC's since 2003, sometimes you just have to narrow it down until you find the issue. Good luck.

what cpu?

amd cpus max at 62-72c before they will throttle or force a restart/crash ect..

That doesn't mean it's not a power issue; could be a faulty PSU. It happens.
Or could be the Motherboard.

What CPU too? As AMD u need to stay below approx 65-70 *C
And if u use pretty much any app besides AMD Overdrive for monitoring AMD CPUs; those other apps are usually in-correct about such CPU temps, u'd need to apply an Offset. It's one reason I suggest using Open Hardware Monitor, since u apply the AMD Offset in there.
