What country/currency ?

Is there a $ amount you simply can't go above for such a purchase ?

Are you looking for the screen aspect ratio to be 16:9 or 21:9 ?

thanks for the reply,

UK and i cant go above £800. Aspect ratio is 16:9.
If gonna spend £800 might as well consider checking high refresh rate that 144hz, or higher that 1440p, check the prices on these things, see if display ips, or tn, and check if you have room for it where ever you're gonna put your monitor at.
£800 is your 4K monitor price range. Unless your monitor is one of the OLED variety, £500 would be a more reasonable price range for 1440P.
£300 to £400. That will buy you a 27 inch IPS panel with FreeSync 144 hz or more and all the features you'd want in a panel.

You also want a PC monitor with minimum 120 Hz and maximum 1 ms reaction time.
300 EUR.

considering you already have a premium card, I suggest lg oled 1440p 240hz. it's currently the best option for 1440p but since you asked for a reasonable price, I would expect anywhere from 300-400$.

msi mag274qrf qd is decent and has wide color space coverage. it goes regularly on sale for 250-300. btw it has 165hz refresh-rate plus bfi and is gsync compatible.
If going for a Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti and running 1440p resolution, I would highly recommend one of these monitors for optimal gaming performance...

ASUS ROG PG279Q
(or)
Acer Predator XB271HU

If you are looking for 27 inches screen size?

Both of these monitors are similar specs, so depends on your country to what one is cheaper. IPS Panels (richer and brighter colours with better viewing angles), real G-SYNC module (butter smooth performance, if using display cable and enabled with a Nvidia graphics card), 165Hz refresh rate (higher is better), 4ms response time (lower is better) and excellent low input lag (the delay between your keyboard/mouse click to what happens on screen).

This is the older version - Acer Predator XB270HU (get XB271HU or PG279Q instead):

The only real issue with that monitor was screen bleeding (thin edge which the backlight could gap around and be seen glow slightly on dark/black), the newer XB271HU addressed that better and increased the refresh rate (144Hz to 165Hz).

There might be newer monitors, but depending on the price tags, those are extremely good ones for gaming purposes, still up there with the best of the best and you might be able to find them at a reasonable price!

To understand why you want to consider a G-SYNC module in your monitor, so long you get at least 30 FPS out of a game it will sync the monitor's Hz to your Nvidia graphic card output FPS up to it's max refresh rate (165Hz in this case):

To use G-SYNC, connect with a Display Cable 1.4, install latest Nvidia drivers, and then right-click display > "Nvidia Control Panel" > "Set up G-SYNC", tick enable for both windowed and full screen mode. Make sure monitor refresh rate is maxed (165Hz in this case) too.

Make sure it has DisplayPort and that you use that for your PC

Why 1k? Unless you're looking for OLED you can get a good panel for less than half of that.
Recently bought an LG 27GP850 for 400€. Great monitor, IPS, 180Hz, the colors are great, it has both G-Sync and Freesync. Highly recommend.

If you want all the info you about monitors and then some, check out this channel. My last 5 monitor choices were bought based on their advice and I was always satisfied:

800 quid for a 1440p monitor is a LOT. You don't need to spend that much money on 1440p anymore. I paid 800€ for my ASUS PG279Q back in 2018, the GP850 I have now was half the price and it's leagues better than my PG279Q.
