Anyone ever used a Razer laptop?
I'm thinking of buying a Razer laptop and it looks quite pricey but good at the same time. But I see a lot of people complain about issues with Razer, more so than any other brand I've noticed.

Has anyone here got or had a Razer laptop and had issues with the laptop itself or the customer service?

Razer and Alienware are garbage. Regular laptops with a 50% markup.

They break just like any other.

The complaints with Razer are about their customer service and refusal to RMA products.

I had 2 mice from Razer that broke within warranty and was given the run around on replacement. I will never buy another Razer as long as I breathe.

Damn that sucks maybe I'll stick with my HP Omen the reviews online for Razer are pretty bad also
I've just bought a Razer laptop and it's running fine, no issues from what I can see.

I'm currently using my mobile as I am waiting for a new Internet connection to be installed but the laptop has been set up and is ready to go.

The only thing I dislike is not being able to remove some things from Windows 11 if it's pre-installed, xbox stuff as an example, but that's a software issue.

I will agree with the above posts about Razer mice, I've had two and both were awful.
I don't believe in gaming centric brands like Razer, or Alienware. I'd rather go for brands like HP or even Lenovo, in fact, my laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5 (Ryzen 5800H + 16GB RAM + RTX 3070 140W) and it handles the game I play well enough. I'd gotten it with Premium Care+ (or something like that) and it carries a 3 year warranty, with servicing done at my home).

On the whole, pretty happy with it, I've upgraded it to 2x 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe3 SSD, and I'm thinking of going 2x 16GB DDR4 RAM as well.

I've been looking at the Lenovo 7i pro current gen it looks like a good price even with a 4090
Honestly get a desktop or unless your like a collage student or travel around alot. Then stick to laptop.

I never looked into razer before but Alienware brand always sucked. Overpriced for low end specs or the build quality is all over the place or system is missing important key components.
To be honest you want Laptop from good maker like Lenovo, ASUS, HP or even Dell. I looked at Medion and they have fantastic specs but bad customer service.

Whichever laptop you choose make sure that you shop around for the best price possible.

The price of some laptops can vary a lot, even for the same spec machine. I saved hundreds of pounds just by shopping around.
I've been using gaming laptop since 2019, I really haven't had issues. The problem isn't the laptops aren't better, but nothing has really changed in the gaming industry justifying me to jump from a 2080 to a 4000 series nvidia card. I use a MSI Stealth GS-75 Max-Q 2080, year 2018. I'd even argue that I play less graphic intense games now than I did then.

My advice is to looking at the processor, getting an good processor is more important now.

I've come to really like Lenovo laptops.

Build quality is good in my experience. Prices are fair and not weirdly inflated unlike some of the more "gamer" oriented brands like Alienware. What really sold me is how repair friendly they've been as far as I can tell. My Lenovo laptop is easy to take apart, and parts are sold directly through Lenovo.

Do you have the latest 7i pro? If so how are the speakers. I have notived their prices are pretty good and the 7i pro comes with an i9 processor and a 4080 at a really good price when on sale like it is now. Sucks it takes 2-3 weeks to ship though
Have a Razer blade 14inch 2021. The battery bloated (Which is a common issue), and it was out of warranty at the time. It just sits in my closet now.
2 Razer blades, and one it's dead after 7 years, and all had battery bloated. for this price, it's outrageous! 3 different gens... 2017, 2018 and finally 2022. I still own the stealth after the battery with the Razer core, but I'm planning on getting out of Nvidia because I am a Linux gamer now.

Point being... Razer Laptops are garbage to me. my zypherus g15 never had the problems I had with razer.
Yes, I bought a gaming laptop from Razer around a year and a half ago, from Amazon (it was on sale because they were trying to sell the newest Razer laptops) and it has worked superbly, so far. It was cutting edge a couple of generations ago, and still can run most games smoothly. I have had zero issues or problems so far. I can see this machine lasting at least 2-3 years longer still, or more. I recommend Razer for gaming laptops.
