My io shield bulges in the middle, is this normal
Wondering if all or some io shields do this. It doesn’t really bother me. I tried making it flat but every attemp is no use. I have a b550m ds3h motherboard.

Can you post a picture? Also, you mean just the thin flimsy metal part? Or like a part that's actually connected pre-attached to the motherboard?

You probably didn`t pop it into the hole quite right if it bulges. It should just snap in there but it can be difficult sometimes with some cases.

^This.

If it just thin mental that clip to the case for connection slots on the board then didn't push in all the way, or didn't line up things and thin mental being pushed nothing to worry really.

Now If it the board that bulging then something wrong, but don't think that what you're saying so I doubt that be it either or else you would've notice other issues.

Can confirm it is a tight fit with them when first installing make sure to put good pressure around the edges of the IO shield from the inside so it stays flush with the case cutout.

Also there are grounding flaps on the IO shield that only need to be touching the motherboard once that is installed so check closely that they aren't flexed too far back and causing the motherboard to push the IO shield out which might be your problem.

If it bulges you didn't snap it in BEFORE putting in the MB, or it is not the correct one

and make sure all of its tabs are out of the way of the ports
i often bend them back farther so they do not interfere or block them

I've never liked those metal flimsy plates. I've always hated the fact that they could make my build look crappy. Always hated that. Always bothered me. One of the reasons I won't even consider a board without those nice fancy cool looking heatsink ones nowadays.
