Can I safely connect a power strip to my UPS?
I have an APC Back-UPS Pro BR BR1100M2-LM (1100VA) and I want to connect an APC Essential SurgeArrest PE66 power strip to the battery-backed output. Is it safe to do this, or could it damage the UPS? The devices I'll connect to the power strip have low power consumption, and in total, everything I connect to the main UPS won't exceed 600W. I'd appreciate your advice on this.

Id think so since power strip is basically just an extension cable with plugs and a switch to turn it off.

But your ups i bet already has sirge protection too

Does the protective functionality of the APC PE66 power strip introduce any limitations or drawbacks to its performance or applications?

Don't, plug in your UPS into the surgearrest instead and get a cheap power strip for the battery output.
