Laptop Touchpad in 3d games does not always work
I have a laptop with a touchpad. In a 3d game with 3d camera the touchpad does not always rotates the camera. Feels like random stagger.

Experienced in multiple games on multiple laptops. This should be a common issue.

Touchpad works perfectly fine on a 2d plane, like menus or mini-games.

Why do I play a 3d game with a touchpad, this is absurd? I play a lot of crpg-s - kotor, bloodlines, mass effect, witcher. I use my laptop in bed for the chill parts, in hubs, where you just casually walk around and chat with npcs. Its like reading a book. For the action part I use desktop.

On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and adjust the sensitivity slider. Set it to High, all I can think of, touchpads generally have low polling rates so not the best.

In games try the sensitivity settings up a bit and trun off mouse smoothing if it's on which sounds daft but smoothing adds a very slight delay.
Use a Mouse. Like Logitech G703 or similar

Ok go into the WinOS settings for Touch and Mouse; make sure Gestures, Touch-Scrolling and all that fluff crap is off. As it can easily interfere with how the Touchpad functions in many games. Lower the pressure sensitivity too so you don't have to press as hard when using it.
