My mouse moves by itself!
Hello, here's my problem, my logitech performance MX mouse moves by itself! I really don't know why! maybe it's because of windows 8.1? I recently bought i new pc, i had no problem with my mouse on the old one!

I searched a lot on google, lot of people have this problem, but i didn't manage to solve it, i really don't know what to do! I tried it on every usb port, i tried it with an extension cable, tried it with every other usb device unplugged

can't seem to find with cause it! The weird thing is, i don't remember it happened the first few days i had this PC, so i tried a recorvery, but didn't solve it either!

what should i do, games are unplayable like this (i don't have a second mouse to test it unfortunately, but i might be obligated at some point if it continues...)

thanks in advance and sorry for my english

Laptop or Desktop?

Check the mouse sensor area for dust/debris as that can make the sensor not focus and thus the cursor jumping around a bit and/or being inaccurate.

desktop, the sensor is clean, when i move my mouse and try to go on an area or click, and stop the mouse, it begins to move by itself erraticaly up or down

On what kind of surface you use it? Glass or other glossy material may cause reflections that make cursor move erratically. If you don't have proper mouse mat, try it on paper for example.
have you tried reinserting the mouse to another usb port (if it's a usb mouse or the usb bluetooth dongle) ?

have you tried restarting the pc?

tried it on every surface, and close and far frem the reciever, no change... like i said, i didn't have any problem on my previous pc with the mouse and reciever, so maybe it's due to windows 8.1? (i was on seven)

uh.... weird, it actually work on a piece of paper... (it's not easy to move the mouse on it, but the mouse stop to move by itself on it.... )

why is that? i didn't change my surface between my old and new pc...

unplug the mouse, or try another, see if it still moves

the problem is cleary not the mouse since i had no problem on my old pc... i will probably wait for windows 10 to be sure, before buying a new mouse...
