the amd/ati 4200 is an onboard gpu
when it was released it was a good choice
fast ram didnt make much of a difference on those

but now you can get a gtx750 which will run fine on the stock 300w psu
or low profile versions, that will be alot better performing

or if on a low budget, a gt740-730 would be a huge improvement

I assume that HD4200 is integrated graphics. So system ram is 2Gbs? I'm surprised you can play any games since most OS's need most of that 2Gb to run by itself. Any upgrade in ram is an improvement here, 2 to 4 is fine, or higher if possible. Not many games will play with integrated GPUs so beyond that, you'll need to consider a dedicated GPU, unless this is a laptop, then you're stuck.

I'd consider an upgrade to 8Gbs ram perhaps and a good entry to mid level card would be fine low to mid 270x or 750Ti, mid level 280x or 960...be sure to check your power supply that it supports any upgrade to a new GPU as well. Nvidia doesn't require near as much power as AMD, keep that in mind.

so what youre saying is that i should switch to nvidia? my friend has nvidia and he runs csgo at 200-300 fps and he has 20 gb ram

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

newer amd and nvidia gpus are close in performance
but nvidia use alot less power and make less heat

the 880g board will never get to 300fps in source games
no amd cpus are fast enough for that, and it will take a high end gpu to get there too
ex. 8350 + gtx770 = 100-150fps, while i3 + gtx770 = 200-250fps
anyone who says they get over 300fps in source games is lying, the source enigne is capped at 300fps
