Then just get latest drivers from here, install them and you are good to go:

Also installing hardware wont screw up memory, so you dont have to worry
If ur handing over your entire PC, any "sensitive" stuff should either be hidden/passworded or transfered to a different medium.
Generally, swapping out a GPU will take anywhere from 10-20 minutes.
The work isn't hard to do, but it does take a little bit of time and effort to swap out GPUs. If you're not sure what to do and would prefer a computer tech/shop to do it for you, just remember you have to go by their schedule and you probably won't be high on their priority list to getting the job completed right away.
The only upside to them doing it for you, if you don't know much about hardware, would be if they run into a problem. They would be better equiped to figure it out and fix it.
As for safety precautions: if you have anything incriminating on your computer and they happen to come across it, they have to report it to the athorities. Also, just out of habit, I'd personally back up anything important on to a USB flash or burn to a DVD/CD or even copy to an external HDD if you have one.
no i dont have anything increminating on my pc tho..just a bunch of images, assignments some music and a heck tonne of games.im just gonna reset my email and stuff before giving the cpu away i guess while transferring the personal stuff to a USB
closer to 10-20 if you need a new power supply also
You mean your PC? and I would personally take a look inside your machine note all components make/model, check what CPU(Procesor) and its GHZ also your Ram in GB
