Not sure that would be powerful enough for streaming... Id raise your budget a bit and get a Intel Xeon E3-1220 V3 3.1GHz CPU and a B85 motherboard.

Cheapest possible hyperthreading CPU there is... but it will make the price $600. IMO, thats really the minimum to get a decent gaming PC.

Ok ill look into that, thank you.

- Streaming is actually one thing that does benefit from more cores, so the FX 6300 may actually do well here. Ideally though, if streaming get either an FX 8350, 8320 or a Xeon e3-1230 V3 (last one may be a bit too expensive for you)

- Do not get that motherboard, for a budget AMD motherboard, look at the Gigabyte 970A-UD3P. For Intel, look at B85, H97 or Z97 motherboards.

- 16GB memory is better for streaming, but 8Gb is plenty for now. You could always upgrade later if needed.

- You will want a 600w power supply or more ideally. 500w is cutting it rather close if you go the AMD route.

- The rest is alright for a budget build. Graphics card is decent for a $500 PC. Remember, you can always upgrade parts easlily over the years.

I think you mean the Xeon e3-1230 V3. The 1220 model doesn't have hyperthreading.

is there a better processor for around same price that isnt amd? cause i dont see myself getting a 600 watt right now.

Also is there an Nvidia card around the same price rang and power of the Sapphire Radeon R9 270? I prefer nvidia but it really makes no difference.

Yes there is the GTX 750ti. It is quite a bit weaker than the AMD card though.

The closest thing to a FX 6300 in price for Intel is the i3. Downside to the i3 is that it is a dual core and those aren't the greatest for streaming. The FX would do better for that.

This 600w is a decent model for the price. It's not a whole lot more than the 500w.

I came up with two builds. The first is a little bit more than your original post build, but will do better at streaming. GPU is far better than a 750ti also. You will get a lot more bang for your buck by getting an AMD graphics card when on a low budget.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BKHTcf

If you can stretch that budget a little further, then theres this $650 build. It is far better than the other one.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/83CWqs

Both will stream great, but if you can afford the second one, it will be much better.
_I_ Sep 5, 2015 @ 7:43pm
fx falls behind in source games
it will stream as well as it plays

the msi 760/710 board is a very poor choice for any fx cpu

at the $500 range get an i3, will be much better at source and as good for streaming source games

Getting an MSI motherboard for AMD is a very bad idea. They have bad VRMs that will fail when paired with high end FX CPUs, especially the 6 and 8 core models. Look at something from Asus or Gigabyte, that uses at least a 970 chipset. The GA-970a-DS3P is the lowest I would go.

Alright i think ive decided on this https://pcpartpicker.com/user/FultonM/saved/#view=zdtFf7
Would i get 150 fps+ while streaming?
_I_ Sep 8, 2015 @ 6:38pm
would be cheaper to get an i3 for the same performance
or much better off with an i5 at about the same price

Here would be much better for a little more:

AMD FX-8320E 3.2GHz 8-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive
PowerColor Radeon R9 285 2GB TurboDuo Video Card
Azza Cosmas ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Base Total: $593.83
Promo Discounts: -$8.00
Mail-in Rebates: -$55.00
Shipping: $3.99
Total: $534.82

OR for less:

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive
PowerColor Radeon R9 285 2GB TurboDuo Video Card
Azza Cosmas ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Base Total: $563.73
Promo Discounts: -$8.00
Mail-in Rebates: -$55.00
Shipping: $3.99
Total: $504.72

The SSHD hybrid drive should help out streaming cause that needs drive bandwidth. A SSD might be ideal but does not fit your budget for a 120GB SSD unless you don't get a storage drive in which case you could get a 240-256GB.

The R9 285 GPU is much more powerful.

16GB or even 24GB of RAM would be a ideal future upgrade.

Ok this looks awesome. I will definately think about this. And i will probably eventually get more ram in the future. TY
