overclocked my i9-10850k need helpp
so i overclock my CPU to 5200Mhz clock speed and when look via task manager it shows that the CPU speed is 5.06 and i was trying to get it to 5.2 GHz but its stuck on 5.06 GHz when im idle its still stuck on that , should it put moving when im not gaming? or did i do something wrong when i was overclocking and what could i do to make it so it shows 5.2 GHz via task manager (im still pretty new with pcs but i know most stuff) my motherboard is a Asrock Z490 Taichi

check with gpuz

it may be throttling due to the mobo or temps

You have to run a diagnostic.
Memtest86
Prime95
And finally a video diagnostic - 3dmark free

You must do this to check stability

Make sure you got water cooling like the first post says.

stability in game and benchmarks are 2 different things been over clocking for many years never once depended on benchmarks.thats for shops to get stability for newbs.

use hwinfo64 open on second monitor and monitor while in game or msi afterburner
test in real world conditions (games) and you'll get better numbers.

Hmm, did you ever tried with turbo boost? It's still overclocking your cpu. I wonder what about your power supply, how old was that or how could it handle overclocking?

Advanced Turbo
You can use this option to increase your system performance. This option appears only
when your CPU supports this function. This option appears only when you adopt K-Series
CPU - from ASRock manual, page 75

Intel Turbo Boost Technology
Intel Turbo Boost Technology enables the processor to run above its base operating
frequency when the operating system requests the highest performance state - from ASRock manual, page 76
