MSI 970 Gaming BIOS update
I want to update my bios, if I download it from web msi, i extracted to usb....reboot, bios, update, i choose usb, file and if I click on File BIOS LAGS and nothing.
Via Live update it want to install Intel ME drivers....but I have got AMD

Use the Windows software to do it.
If it wants to try and Install Management Extensions just let it.

cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

it will not update bios if it is not for the correct mobo

make sure the usb stick is formatted fat32
extract the files to the root of the usb stick

then bios should be able to find and update

BIOS find usb, finds file, but if I click on file, PC and bios immediately lags, hangs, and I have to restart PC manually by button

It's normal for it appear to hang for a bit when it first reads the bios rom; allow it to finish. As it takes some time for it to read/verify the data, after which the update process should then start.

I have been waiting more than 90 minutes, and still hanged.
Again I had to restrat manually.

Did you ever fix this? Mine's doing the same thing, and it's frustrating. I read somewhere that it could be certain USB keyboards... Doesn't make any sense but I'll try it later I suppose.

I think that i updated my MSi Live update, and i updated BIOS by this app in Windows. It worked, I think
